All My Roady Friends

I want to take this format to thank all of Tom's friends who stepped up to bat to take me under their wings to help me thru this difficult time.

First and on the top of the list is, Waldo LaTowski.  Poor guy-he really didn't know what he was getting into when he had to pick up the reins and take care of SO MUCH!

When Tom was first diagnosed with cancer I tried to get him to talk to me to let me know what to do should something happen.
His answer was "you think I'm going to die?!"
"well, no! but tell me this, what do I do with all the equipment?"
"Call Waldo" was his answer.

Never did we dream that God would take Tom a couple of weeks later.  I didn't even have Waldo's phone number!  Oh thank goodness for facebook!  I actually had to get on his page and list my phone number to call me it's an emergency.  Two minutes is all it took and Waldo called.

Waldo was one of many who helped with the arrangements of the Memorial Service, he was one of many who pulled together the Red Rooster fund raiser, Douglas Corner event, he is one of many who started counting and categorizing all of Tom's gear, one of many to sell the gear, deliver the gear, and truthfully I can't tell you what all he has done-because he has handled it all.  He has been the "Roady Representative" in the situations that needed to be taken care of, with a "no problem" attitude.

So to Waldo, and everybody that has helped Waldo put everything together....
We Sincerely Thank You!

Rehearsals, Rehearsals, Rehearsas!!

Two Productions in full swing of rehearsals!   We have all the costumes for both shows close to being completed.  Can not believe the cute skirt that Caitlins Mother bought for her Audry character in Little Shop of Horrors!  It is so "tiny", I think it probably could not go over my calve!  LOL!!

Then tonight I found some oriental costumes for the Street Urchins, I have become a fan of Goodwill!  Even got Frankenstein decked out from that same department store!  LOL~~  But now not everything came with a Goodwill tag on it.  Wait till you see the ball gowns and sequined dresses that are in both shows, thanks to Diane @ Memories Consignment in Old Hickory-the girls are looking good!

So much work and so much fun is being put into these two productions:  Dracula's Masquerade Ball and Little Shop of Horrors  tickets are on sale now!!

So Much Fun!!

Don't know about you all but I am having a GREAT time staying busy!  Yes it is a bit on the hot side, but this too will pass-and next thing you know we will be freezing!!

Tonight is the first rehearsal for Dracula's Masquerade Ball.  I am going to go to this and am so excited!  There is nothing better to watch the actor develop into their characters!    This will be from normal people (if there is such a thing) to monsters!!   This cast has professional singers, song writers and actors.  Brittany Blaire Andersen is the Directors in charge.

Tomorrow I will be meeting the cast of  Little Shop of Horrors.  Thanks to Donelsons Keeton Theatre for allowing us to use all four of their Audry 2.  The Director Herb Berry has finished auditioning the actors so I will get to meet them.  Oh!  I have seen the set designs that Rusty Riddle is about to start constructing-way cool.  Konson Patton was at the auditions this week with his piano so we had some FANTASTIC auditions-cant wait to announce that cast of characters!

Ok, that is all for now, thanks for checking in and post a message on the blog.  If you have trouble, send me an e mail:  melodramatheater@gmail.com
